Balmain Resort 2012 - drawing

Hi all.
Did this drawing a couple of days ago.
So.. The body is not as detailed with shadows etc, but when I finally finished the amazing details on the dress, I just didn't have any energy left. Haha. :)
The colors are a little more dark than on the original dress (Balmain Resort 2012) , but I actually think the result is quite okay despite that (except from the face - I'm sorry, I am not good at drawing faces)..
Well, I hope you like it anyway. I do.

Xx. :)

Balmail - I freakin' love you!

 Balmain RTW AW2011

Balmain Resort 2012

Somebody give me a million! Cause I'm in love and this one is gonna need some cash!
I've looked at these collections so many times now. And I can't get enough.
Balmain did it again - and this time better than ever! These styles are absolutely amazing!
Look at the impressive details of mosaics of mirrors and ribbon painstakingly hand-embroidered on both dresses, trousers and even jackets.
And in my opinion, even though the colors and the metallic patterns change, the Resort 2012 has the same kind of attitude and appearance as the AW2011 collection.
I love it!
Xx :)

I heart drK

Watch it here

Hi all.
How are you doing?
I'm working this whole weekend, so no parties for me.
And what else to do, than watch these fab fashion reports from Fashion Week AW11?!
drK is the only Danish tv channel that focuses on fashion, and I just found out that you can watch it online for free.
Check it out here.
Have a great weekend.
And to everyone that is not working the entire time - have a drink for me, please. :)

Cover Drawing featured on

We love to do magazines for you, and therefore we are SO happy when you like them!
Today started out amazing on ELLES editing, when we received this one super beautiful watercolor by Maria Madsen, who is studying design technology at KEA.
She writes that she was so inspired by our May-Cover that she just had to draw it - Wow, she is good at it!
Thank you, Maria! You have made our day!
See more of Maria's paintings and drawings on her blog here

Hi everybody, how are you?

I finally did it - took the time to e-mail my drawing of Danish ELLE's May Cover to ELLE. And as you can see, it payed off! Thay made it the "ELLE loves..." of the day and put it on their website.
So I'm really happy I did it. It's so cool. ;)

Have a lovely day!

Just 4 Quick Sketches...

I just wanted to share with you these quick sketches I made today.
I was looking at shoes on and was suddenly inspired.
I hope to color the shoes soon, but right now I'm going to the city to check out the new Christian Louboutin Boutique (again)..
Have a great day.
Xx :)

Hi all, how are you doing?
I'm busy studying for my exam on friday.
But I needed a break and just wanted to post these two drawings.
The first I did a couple of months ago to see the effect of drawing with crayon.
And I love it.
The expression is much more raw and leathery.
And so I did the other one in May.
I really like these two shoes. What do you think? :)
Have a great day.

The Vision Magazine - Feb. 2010

Hi all, how are you doing?
Today I had a "draw date" with one of my great friends, and this is what I did.
The original photo is from the magazine called The Vision Magazine, which I got it during Copenhagen Fashion Week in February 2010.
The beautiful bolero the model is wearing is by Valentino.
I love this photo, and thought it would make for a great drawing. What do you think? :)

Danish ELLE Magazine Cover May 2011

Hi everyone.
How are you? :)
Ever since I recieved my May issue of Danish Elle magazine, I wanted to draw the cover.
And yesterday I finally had some time to do it.
I really love her relaxed attitude and her big hat.
I like how it turned out. What do you think? :)

Colorful Spring - Yellow

 Victoria Beckham ss11

Hi all, how are you?
As you probably already know I love all the bright colors this season.
These two dresses are from Victoria Beckham and Michael Kors.
I did The Victoria Beckham dress with Ecoline and a marker
and I did the Michael Kors dress with water color and pencil.
I really think they both turned out well. What do you think?
Xx. :)

Gucci ss11 Drawing

As promised here is the drawing I made of the Gucci ss11 runway shot.
I drew it in black and white first and colored it afterwards, but I took a photo of each version just in case the black and white drawing would turn out the best.
I don't know which one I like the most. The black/white is really cool but the one in colours is just more Gucci.
What do you think? :)
Have a good night.
Xx Maria :)

Gucci ss11

I simply just love Gucci's new SS11 collection. All the bright colours and the beautiful drapings.
For me Gucci is the leading brand of this season's colour blocking and with all the purple, green, orange and turquoise, what is not to love? :)
Later I'll post a drawing I did of this photo from the Gucci SS11 runway.
Looking forward to share it with you.
Enjoy the nice weather and have a great day. :)

Handbag Drawing

Last week was such an exciting week at school.
We learned how to draw a shoe in 3D and now we also learned how to draw a handbag.
It's funny how when you've got some techniques you can pretty much draw everything.
This is the handbag i drew. I'm pretty proud of myself, cause I never thought I could learn it.
I hope you like it too. :)

My first 3D shoe

Hi everyone.
How are you?
Long time - no see. Sorry, but I've been really busy with school and work and everything.
Well. Today at school I did my first 3D drawing of a shoe ever. OMG it was so difficult and frustrating, I almost gave up!
But I finally got it done and I think it went out really well. I mean, you can definitely tell it's a shoe, so who cares if the toes are suppose to be a bit longer. I know I don't. :)
Now I just really have to practice so I don't forget how I did it.
Hope you like it too.
Have a nice day. :)

Remember To Keep Your Shoes Neat

Hi Friends.
How was your day?

I sold a pair of shoes on trendsales so I wanted to clean and polish them before I send them tomorrow.
I got inspired and started cleaning some of my own shoes. Among them was this white pair from Diesel. I wore them at Sensation White in November and actually I didn't think they could ever be white again.
But I was wrong. :)
So please care about your shoes. I get so sad when I see a boy or girl with shoes that are so trashy they should have been thrown away long time ago.

And now I'm gonna shut up.

Have a great evening. :)

My Bad Luck

Hi Friends.
How are you?
I've got a new computer. Because of school I just upgraded to Mac and I'm soo bad at it!
It's exhausting. And embarrassing haha.
And now my printer/scanner isn't working with my Mac, so I can't upload any drawings right now.
Fortunately my boyfriend is really great and he helps me a lot with all my computer problems so hopefully he can fix this problem too.. :)
And even more sad my camera broke which means that now I can only photograph with my Iphone and it's just not the same. And I'm going to London next Friday so that is just bad luck! :(

Moving Day.. No wait.. Moving Week.

OMG! I've been moving the whole week and I started school tuesday so I've been soo stressed out.
The pictures are from my old apartment. So weird that I'm never coming back.
I packed all my stuff saturday, then I moved on sunday and now we're almost done.
Problem is that moving in with my boyfriend (which I'm really looking forward to btw) and there is NO room for my shoes! :( I don't know what I'm gonna do about that.
Hopefully I'll find a solution.

Tomorrow I'm going on freshers' trip with my new class. So I have a busy schedule these days.
I'll still try to post once in a while though.

Hope you all have a nice weekend! :) :)

The Future - Shoes

Hi all.
Hope you had a great day.

Today I designed these two shoes inspired by the mood board I did yesterday.
When I did the top drawing I wasn't sure if I should keep the blue heel, plateau and collar or if I should use silver paint on top. So actually I made them both.
But I think the one with the silver turned out the best so that's the one I posted.
The shoe with the big collar is inspired by Dora Mojzes' dress

I think both of them turned out really well.

What do you think?

Well. I'll jump to bed now.

Hi everyone.
Hope you had a nice day.
I didn't sleep well last night because of my bag so I've been tired all day!
Good thing I took a two hour nap earlier. Haha.

Before i went to bed I just wanted to share with you all the new mood board i just made.
I got inspired by the futuristic shoes i posted a couple of days ago so I wanted to explore the subject further.
I have the day off tomorrow so hopefully I will have the time to make a few drawings.

What do you think?

Sleep tight everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend!
I had a good weekend except from the fact that I fell and hurt my back saturday.
So now it hurts everytime i breath. That sucks.

Well. These two drawings are also inspired by the mood board "Golden Fire". They have the same silhouette and round end heel as the McQueen shoes, but these are just a tad more futuristic I think. Mainly because of the crack of the heels and the "collar" that goes up on  the ankle.
The black one I did with a black pencil and then a black marker on top.
The shoe with the gold heel and plateau I first drawed with black and curry pencils and then I painted black and gold paint on top.

I really like how they turned out.
What do you think?

Golden Fire - Inspiration

Model: Abbey Lee, Shoes by Alexander McQueen, Painting: "Skriget" by Edward Munch

I tryed to make a mood poster the other day, and I think it actually went well.
I get really inspired by McQueen and his wonderfully weird univers. I just love it.
So here are two booties I painted after making this mood board.

When I did these drawings I was inspired by the McQueen silhouette with the round end heels.
The top ankle boot is inspired by the fire and flames, the colours and the movements in the wind.
The gold bootie is inspired by.. Well the gold McQueen shoes in the mood board. I did this drawing by a mix of a curry coloured pencil and finger painting with gold paint.

What do you think?

My Red Love

I'm gonna start with something pretty simple. Like this red pump.
I really like the chunky black heel and the hidden plateau.
I drawed it the 4th og Jan (2011).
I think the hole reason why I drawed this red shoe was because I really need a red shoe! And as they say: "Necessity is the mother of invention".
And I mean, they are no where to be found in Denmark right now. I really think that's a shame, cause the red shoe is classic!
Everybody should have a pair in their wardrobe. And I'm still looking for mine.

Do you like it? Tell me what you think.

Xo Miss Maria

Hi all.

So.. This is my first post on my new blog.

As described in the "About Me" section I'll use this blog to share my drawings and hopefully get your respons.
I'm really looking forward to this, it's something I've never done before.
I mean even my closest friends haven't seen most of my drawings, so I'm both nervous and ecxited.
Also I'll share other stuff that inspires me. Both fashion and arts.

Hope you'll help me getting better.

Have a nice day.
